The first meeting between H. Moser & Cie. co-owners Edouard and Bertrand Meylan and Saquon Barkley did not take place in a boardroom or at an event. It happened at his home, surrounded by his family. Very quickly, it became clear that, despite coming from different worlds, they shared the same core values: the importance of family, humility, dedication to craftsmanship, authenticity, and the determination to remain true to themselves, regardless of success. What began as a meeting soon evolved into a relationship built naturally, without pretense.

When Saquon Barkley first discovered the H. Moser & Cie. collections, one watch immediately stood out to him: the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton. It was an instinctive choice, reflecting his longstanding attraction to skeleton watches and the way they combine mechanical complexity with visual purity. Today, H. Moser & Cie. unveils the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley, developed together with the American athlete. 

“I’ve always been drawn to skeleton watches. I love being able to see the complexity of the movement, while the watch itself can still feel incredibly pure and understated. What I particularly like about this piece is how the aventurine dial stands out against the skeletonized movement. It catches your eye, and yet never feels ostentatious. That balance is exactly what I was looking for. Working with Moser felt very natural because they really listened to what mattered to me and gave me the freedom to make the design my own. I think the result reflects both their world and mine,” says Saquon Barkley.

Its 42.8 mm steel case, water-resistant to 120 meters, retains the sporting DNA of the Pioneer collection. The fully skeletonized three-dimensional architecture reveals the movement in all its complexity, while the aventurine subdial appears to float above the mechanics like a window opening onto a star-filled sky. 
At its heart beats the HMC 811 manufacture caliber, driven by a cylindrical hairspring tourbillon. Entirely handcrafted by the specialists at Precision Engineering AG, the cylindrical hairspring perpetuates an exceptionally rare savoir-faire. 

From the very beginning, this watch was conceived to accompany Saquon Barkley through every aspect of his life. Every element of this edition carries personal meaning. Limited to just 97 pieces, it pays tribute to Saquon Barkley's year of birth. Even more discreet is a detail revealed only after dark: all the indices feature SuperLumiNova®, but the numerals 2 and 6 glow in a different colour, a subtle nod to his iconic number 26. An almost secret tribute that appears only when the aventurine dial unveils its full depth.
