AUGUST’S SOLAR ECLIPSE REVEALS… A RARE MOONSWATCH!

PERLA --This August, as a solar eclipse casts its shadow across parts of the world, including regions in Spain, MISSION TO THE SUN appears in a special new edition inspired by this extraordinary celestial event.
Celebrating the moment when the Moon briefly eclipses the sun, the MISSION TO THE SUN - SOLAR ECLIPSE introduces a distinctive black Bioceramic pusher at 2 o’clock echoing the subtle beauty of a total solar eclipse. This model also features a battery cover adorned with a New Moon design, a nod to the lunar phase during which every solar eclipse occurs.

As with all Bioceramic MoonSwatch models, this timepiece is crafted from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic and boasts many of the OMEGA’s legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch iconic features, including an asymmetrical case and the famous tachymeter scale with the dot over ninety. The OMEGA X Swatch logos are proudly displayed on its dial and crown, and its mission statement is engraved on the back of its case.
The MISSION TO THE SUN - SOLAR ECLIPSE model will be exclusively available on August 12, 2026 in Spain, through our Spanish website, at our Swatch stores in Bilbao, Ibiza and Valencia and our in-store digital catalog at all Swatch stores in Spain. Fans can also discover it through the Rolling Planet which will be traveling across León with different stops throughout the day.

This chronograph features a bright, sun yellow Bioceramic case, paired with a white rubber strap with VELCRO® closure and Bioceramic loop. It features a sunbrushed golden-colored dial with white hour and minute hands, white hour markers, and an orange seconds hand. It has white subdials with orange hands and a white bezel with orange tachymeter scale. Inspired by the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026 this model features a black Bioceramic pusher at 2 o’clock and a battery cover adorned with a New Moon design, a nod to the lunar phase during which every solar eclipse occurs. The hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands, along with the hour markers, feature Super-LumiNova® for optimal visibility in the dark. All dials in the collection carry the OMEGA X Swatch branding, the iconic Speedmaster logo and the MoonSwatch logo. The biosourced glass construction, the etched "S" integrated in the center of the glass, the fine and sophisticated circular pattern on the dial outer ring and the recessed subdials, the angular and smooth lugs construction, the iconic “dot over 90” detail on the tachymeter scale, and of course the unique Bioceramic feel are common to all models.
