OAKLEY AND TRAVIS SCOTT'S CACTUS JACK REIMAGINE THREE EYEWEAR STYLES FOR FIRST COLLABORATION CHAPTER

PERLA --American eyewear and sports performance brand Oakley has launched the first instalment of its collaboration with Cactus Jack, the label and streetwear brand founded by American artist Travis Scott. Titled 'Chapter 001', the release centers on three existing Oakley silhouettes, each reworked to reflect the creative universe of Cactus Jack.

The collection is led by Scott in his role as Oakley's chief visionary officer. It revisits the Plantaris, the Straight Jacket 99 and the Eye Jacket Redux, all offered in two colorways developed exclusively for the partnership: 'CJ Matte Mesquite' and 'CJ Black Ink'.

Each of the three styles is fitted with Oakley's Prizm Snow Black lenses, which the brand says are designed to heighten color and contrast. The Cactus Jack identity is also carried through to the packaging, with every pair supplied in a custom Cactus Jack micro bag and case.

Campaign directed with Nicolas Winding Refn
For the launch campaign, Scott worked with Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn. The visuals feature NFL wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who is part of Oakley's roster of sponsored athletes, known as the Oakley Team.

The campaign imagery combines close-up portraits with coordinate-style graphics and the product codes of each frame, framing the three styles as a single project spanning different eras of the brand's design history.
Oakley's push into fashion collaborations

The Cactus Jack partnership adds to a growing series of fashion and culture-led projects at Oakley. Earlier this year, the brand appointed former Givenchy designer Matthew Williams as creative director, and it has since released collaborations and signature lines with partners including running label Satisfy, basketball player Jaylen Brown and footballer Kylian Mbappé.
